Ogun PDP Chairmanship, Councillorship candidates To Contest In Ijebu Ode local government elections




The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State has enjoined all the members and the teeming supporters in Ijebu Ode local government to go ahead and participate in the forthcoming local government elections scheduled to hold tomorrow.

The Party said the decision is in line  with the Ijebu Ode high court judgment which the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has cleared one of their Chairmanship and some Councillorship candidates in Ijebu Ode local government to contest in the election.

In a statement by the party publicity secretary, Bankole Akinloye indicated that Ijebu Ode Chairmanship candidate Hon. Rotimi Okenla and other Councillorship candidates that the court has just vindicated them to contest tomorrow local government elections in the state.

Akinloye explained that Ijebu ode High Court judgement has affirmed all the party candidates in Ijebu Ode Only as lawful candidates to contest the election in the local government area.

He therefore enjoined all the party members and the teeming supporters in the area to go ahead and participate in the election.
