Majekodunmi Presents 2023 Budget to Legislative Arm of the Local Government

The Chairman Abeokuta South Local Government, Ake, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi JP today Wednesday, April 19, 2023, presented a budget of Four Billion, Five Hundred and Sixty -Three Million, Six Hundred and Thirty-Four Thousand, Eight Hundred and Forty-Seven Naira, Fifty-Seven Kobo (N4. 563, 634, 847.57) to the Legislative Arm of the Local Government.

Hon. Majekodunmi, during the presentation, said the Year 2023 Appropriation Bill was dependent on the availability of funds which would be centered by and large, to better the lots of the people at the grassroots and to support the State's mantra of *"Building our Future Together"*.

The Council Chairman thanked the Legislators and appreciated their support since the inception of the present administration and this he said has resulted in the growth of the Local Government Council.

He stated further that the year 2023 budget would strive hard to ensure that the lives of the residents are improved upon and entreated that the dwellers contribute their quota to assist governance by paying their taxes, levies, and dues to the coffers of the Local Government. This he said will ease and quicken the dividends of democracy to all and sundry.

The Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Kazeem Adenekan assured

the Executive Chairman that the lawmakers will work earnestly and diligently to ensure the implementation of the budget.

Present at the budget presentation were Political Functionaries, Members of the Legislative Arm as well as the Principal Career Officers in the Local Government.
