Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League following their 2-1 crucial win over West Ham United at Old Trafford. Two goals from World Cup winning midfielder Paul Pogba handed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men maximum points after the game. The Frenchman opened scoring for the hosts in the 19th minute through the spot kick after Robert Snodgrass roughly tackled Juan Mata in the danger zone.

United suffered five defeats in six matches in all competitions - a run which was considered the club's worst in history. However, just four minutes into the second half, Felipe Anderson restored parity for the visitors after tapping in a cross from his teammate in the 49th minute.

With ten minutes left to play in the match, Anthony Martial won another penalty for the Red Devils in the 80th minute after being fouled by Ryan Fredericks in the danger zone. And once again, Pogba delivered the spot kick to restore United's leadership for the remainder of the encounter on home turf.
