Stanbic Bank Leaves Corps Members Stranded | Read this Heartfelt Message to the Federal Government

Good evening sir, I am one of the Batch A 2019 corps members who had their POP about 3 weeks ago. I served in Agbara, Ogun State.

Whilst my colleagues assigned to other banks had gotten their last allowance and had returned home to their parents, it is with deep disappointment and sadness that I write to inform you that those of us who were assigned to Stanbic IBTC bank is yet to receive our allowance and had been stranded in our respective states of deployment amidst serious hunger.

We had taken the pain to contact the bank, our respective state coordinators, zonal inspectors, and local government inspectors, however, nothing has been done yet to savage our situation.

While states are getting locked down due to the ravaging pandemic, it is advised that we all stay indoors, but this is almost impossible for us as the majority of us had to pick menial jobs on the streets to feed ourselves minimally as we can not continue to burden our parents/guardians who had sacrificed a lot to see us through the higher institutions.

It is on this note that I write on behalf of myself and other affected corps members to plead that you use your office to assist us in getting our allowances, so we can get to buy whatever little foodstuffs we can afford to buy for the period of stay at home, and also to be able to return to our parent's houses as soon as possible once the lockdown is reversed.

Thanks in anticipation for your swift actions.

A concerned and aggrieved ex-corps member.
