N 250 Billion Loan: Ogun Lawmaker Appeals For Dividend of Democracy In Ogun West



A member of Ogun State  House of Assembly,   Hon. Wahab Haruna Egungbohun has appealed to the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to extend the dividends of Democracy to Ogun West in the sharing of the recently approved  N 250 billion loans by the state House of Assembly.

Hon. Wahab who is also the Chairman Committee on Environment disclosed this in a press statement made available to Journalists in Abeokuta the state capital.

It would be recalled that the Ogun House of Assembly on Thursday granted approval to Governor Abiodun to access N250billion loan only at 3 years Medium -Term Expenditure frame Work ( MTEF) programme of the state to stimulate and grow the state’s economy.

Wahab commended Governor Abiodun for working vigorously and painstakingly to serve the interest of the entire Ogun State citizens both home and abroad.

He explained that the approval for the 250b should spread across the three Senatorial District in the state, appealing to the state government to give Ogun west critical attention in it's developmental plans.

The lawmaker narrated that some roads in Yewa North axis needed critical attention adding that the roads; Ilara/Ijoun, Oja Odan, Ilashe roads that connected four of five Ogun West local Governments together are seriously in bad shape.

According to the statement which read in parts "Flash back to the liabilities and challenges this administration inherited from the past adminstrations,  it's a known fact that this administration is working vigorously and painstakingly to serve the interest of the entire Ogun State citizens both home and abroad.

Undisputed appreciation to the Almighty Allah for this grace, and special thanks to the listening and people Governor's for his understanding, and allowing 9th Ogun State House of Assembly to operate independently. We will keep appreciating and rendering necessary supports for his Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR) to resuscitate this noble state and make this adminstration a success."

"As an Honourable House of Assembly member, representing Ketu State constituency (II) in Ogun state, I want to appeal to you our distinguished Governor and this will serve as a direct benefits of the just approved two hundred and fifty billion naira (#250,000,000,000) loan to my constituents.

In same vein, my constituency is utilizing this medium to remind our amiable Governor of his  campaign promises for Ogun West, and most especially Yewa North axis that largely suffered during the last adminstration and  currently experiencing roads challenges and sufferness from the ambadoned/uncompleted roads that should have exposed the metropolis industrially.

"The roads; Ilara/Ijoun, Oja Odan, Ilashe roads that connected four of five Ogun West local Governments together."

On plenary, I take stand with my people to humbly appeal to our amiable governor to give Ogun west critical attention in it's developmental plans.

"Furthermore, the roads completion will surely have positive impacts on the populist, boast the state Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and make his excellency name to be written with golden pen in the heart of the Yewa people large."

In view of the above mentioned, those roads needs urgent attention and completion before the raining season commenced and to avoid lost of lives and properties, Hon. Wahab concluded.
