Ogun Guber Candidate, Adegbola Sponsors Youth On Solar Training



A gubernatorial candidate of the Advanced Allied Party (AAP) in the 2019  governorship election in Ogun state, Prince John Adegbola has extends a helping hand to some selected youths across the state by sponsoring them in a Solar power training.

In a press statement by one of the media aide to the governorship candidate, Bukola Jaiyeola revealed  that a seminar was done online on how to build solar phone charging machine and run the business successfully.

Jaiyeola hinted that the Seminar  which took place on the 1st of September, 2020, held  online and offline (Ogun State) and the "Aim" was to enable people add more sustainable knowledge that could improve their standard of living and offer them another source of income. 

According to her the "mission" has always been simply to empower the people.

"The basic contents and focus of the workshop include: Part 1; Facts about renewable energy, FAQ on solar energy in Africa, Solar business in Nigeria, Part 2; Solar Phone charging all levels, Solar panel, Charge controller and solar batteries, Part 3; Solar charging business and how to build the Solar phone charger. Discussions and advice."

"The workshop was very interesting, impactful and also gave the opportunity to learn many aspects in regards to maximizing Solar for business. It was a very enriching experience for the participants."

"The slot of time was two sessions, online and offline, not less than two hours for both sessions."

"The seminar and workshop was well attended by the sponsored participants and other interested participants were actively present."


Jaiyeola added that the Seminar was effectively handled by Solarsmith Limited and coordinated by Rev. Dipo Smith.

She pointed out that the seminar was closed by a brief encouragement from the facilitator, giving some pieces of advice to the participants to appreciate the sponsor and also make the experience gotten from the training a viable one which can be developed into something bigger. 

She therefore said  Adegbola thanked all participants for their contribution also extends appreciation to God, the sponsor of the training and the Organization that handled the training.
