DA Mandate Recognizes Shomide's Giant Stride In Abeokuta South, Bestows On Him Award of Excellence

 A chairmanship aspirant in Abeokuta South under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state, Alh. Farouk Akintunde has bestowed on the Transition Committee Chairman, Abeokuta South local government, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide Award of excellence. 

Akintunde who is the Abeokuta South Coordinator for Dapo Abiodun Mandate, a political group for Governor Dapo Abiodun said the award was conferred on Shomide for his sterling performance in office within one year. 

According to Akintunde, the group unanimously agreed to honour the council chairman to support and encourage him to do more. 

The DA Mandate Coordinator stated this on Friday at the Centenary Hall, Ake, Abeokuta, venue of the award presentation. 

In his reaction, the council chairman, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide who was represented by Mr. Sunday Oluwole thanked the organizers for recognizing his efforts at taking governance to the doorsteps of the grassroots. 

Shomide however, assured the group of his determination to change the fortune of the local government for better in terms of human capacity building, IGR generation, execution of social amenities projects among others. 

Other recipients of the award are; Commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Chairman, Ogun State Alternate Medicine, Alhaji Nurudeen Olaleye, and a permanent member, Ogun SUBEB, Hon. Olufemi Ilori-Oduntan.
