Amidst rising insecurity challenge in the country, a People's Democratic Party, PDP Chieftain, Prof. David Bamgbose has appealed to the government at all levels to as a matter of urgency act fast and provide a lasting solution to the issues of farmers and herders crisis rampaging in the country.

He pointed out that people living in Yewa axis can no longer sleep with their two eyes closed as killer herdsmen are moving to the Yewa Forest to make it there home.

Prof. Bamgbose hinted that the recent attacks by the killer herdsmen on the farmland in Yewa axis is not something will can write about as people are now living in fear.

The PDP chieftain explained that the operation of Amotekun in the state would be helpful in fighting against herdsmen in the state saying that government needs to fast track it's operation.

According to him "The security situation in Yewa axis of Ogun State is very worrisome. The attacks by the killer herdsmen on the farmlands, settlements and people are not good for the development of the State."

"The people are now living in fear, farmers can't go to farms, children can't go to school, people can't go to market. It is getting serious, government must do something."

"Let me tell you this, it is not palliatives that the Yewa people needs, it is security they need. I want to sound a note of warning that government must as a matter of urgency act fast because the killer herdsmen are moving to the Yewa Forest to settle there."

"We must not allow them to make the forest their base because if they do, it will be more dangerous for us".

"Amotekun, I believe the government should fast track its operation."

"Amotekun security network will help in the fight against herdsmen like we have been witnessing in other states of South West. Government should ensure that is done fast, he concluded.
