Revealed: APC Councilorship Aspirant In Alleged Voters’ Card Forgery Scandal In Ogun


A leading councilorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obafemi-Owode Local Government area has been caught with Voters card forgery scandal.

Makinde, Ayobami Ayodele was screened by the Party screening Committee set up in Ajura Ward, in Obafemi-Owode Local Government and was declares top amongst other aspirants.
In his documents made available to Newsmen in Abeokuta, the state capital the said aspirant who claimed to resides at Otunba Village, had his one of his voters card to have been duly registered at Ajura Ward.

It was however discovered after painstaking Investigation that the said aspirant had same voters’ card duly register in Oke-Ira/Aguda under Ikeja Local Government area of Lagos State.

It a related development, the said aspirant also claimed to have been a business man in one of the information written in his voters card, while the other had him as a public servant.

Recall that the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun had instructed that any aspirant willing to fly the party’s flag at the forthcoming Local Government Elections would be thoroughly screened of any illegal business in order not to further disgrace the ruling party.

All effort to reach the Ajura ward Chairman however prove abortive as at the time of filing this report.
