100 DAYS IN OFFICE: MAJEKODUNMI CATERS FOR THE AGED,DISTRIBUTES HEALTH EQUIPMENTS TO HEALTH CENTRES


The Executive Chairman Abeokuta South Local Government Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi JP has promised his administration, unflinching support in providing the basic necessities of life for the people of the Local Govt Area.

The Executive Chairman made this assertion while donating health equipments to all the facilities within the Local Govt area as well as free medical care and financial assistance to the aged within the 15 wards of the Council area as part of activities marking the 100 days in office of his administration today , Wednesday 17th Nov at the Council, Secretariat Ake , Abeokuta.Hon Majekodunmi said though resources at the disposal of the Council was limited, but the present administration has engaged in an intensive IGR drive to increase the capital inflow of the council.Hon Majekodunmi said the administration was able to provide palliative means during the rehabilitation of Saje junction,Iporo ake and Okejigbo junction. He said the financial assistance/ free medical care were given to the aged ( 5 each from the 15 wards that make up the Local Government Area.

Hon Majekodunmi also said the administration would also be donating free notebooks to primary school students drawn from five schools within the Council Area.The Chairman also said youths from the council area will also be empowered tommorow, Thursday,18th November 2021. And A block of open stalls will be commissioned at the Itoku market as well as the foundation laying ceremony of 4 locked up shops at the Council Secretariat.

The Council boss expressed his appreciation to the Executive Governor of the State,His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, for the inflow of developmental projects initiated by the Governor himself.He also reiterated his promise to the residents of the Council area.

Former speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Titi Oseni Gomez appreciated the Local Govt Chairman and members of his cabinet for putting up a wonderful program targetted at the aged and youths.

On his part, Hon Henry Adetunji Fagbenro, APC Chairman ASLG, appealed to the health workers to utilize the facilities judiciously.He also cautioned them to be tolerant when giving treatment to the aged.
