Adegbola Mourns Late Oba Adetola, Charges Gov. Abiodun To be Proactive On Security Matters

Prince John Adegbola has condemned the killing of traditional ruler in Ogun State, Alagodo of Agodo town, Oba Ayinde Odetola.

The monarch was reportedly murdered and burnt beyond recognition immediately he drove into the community.

Our correspondent learnt that the crisis began in Agodo after the Odetola of Ake dynasty was elected as the traditional ruler of the town, a development the Owu people had earlier rejected, insisting that anybody from Ake cannot be their king.

While commiserating with the entire Agodo community, Adegbola who is also vying for Governorship position in Ogun State described the attack on the late Oba Adetola as unacceptable tagging it as a pointer to the rising state of insecurity in the state.

Adegbola who also called on the state Governor and the Commissioner of Police to be proactive on security matters in the state said they should ensure that the perpetrators and arsonists are brought to book.

He therefore called on the people of the community to sheath their swords and allow peace to reign, saying that there can be no development in an atmosphere of war.
