JCI Rockcity Presents Scholarship, Baby Items To Ogun New Year Baby



The Junior Chambers International (JCI), RockCity Chapter and it's partners has donated cash, materials gifts and scholarship to the new born baby in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital as part of it’s activities to mark the new year.

The first baby of the year was delivered by Mrs Akinwande Omolabake at  the Primary Health Centre, Okeilewo, Abeokuta.

JCI Rockcity President, JCI Amb. Olalekan Egbetola who led other members to the primary Health Centre in Abeokuta to celebrate with the new baby with cash and material gifts as well as scholarship to the secondary school level.

First Lady and Wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun also visited the new baby boy with gifts of baby items and cash.

Mrs Abiodun In her remarks, appreciated the efforts of the organization (JCI Rock City) for organizing a project in honouring first baby of the year.

She also stated  that she understands what the organization stands for and her office is opened to more future collaborations with JCI Rock City.

On his parts, JCI Rockcity President, JCI Amb. Olalekan Egbetola appreciated the wife of the Governor for partnering with them explaining that the rationale behind the project tagged “Baby of Impact” was aimed at honoring the first baby of the year with gifts (baby items) and present a cash donations.

According to Egbetola "I appreciated her financial and moral support, I acknowledged the involvement of Her Excellency service to humanity which has been outstanding and we are proud to associate with her office and look forward to more future partnership as our ideology align with that of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR) towards Building Our Future Together.

Egbetola hinted that the project was in partnership with JAO Foundation, Ojulowo Omoluabi and Rotaract who also donated cash, materials gift and scholarship to the first baby of the year 2022.

He therefore thanked all Individuals, Corporate partners, other NGOs, Media partners, National Board, South-West Team, Past Presidents for their cooperation and financial assistance towards achieving the project.

The National Director of Communication JCI Nigeria, Ayodele Ajayi therefore revealed that JCI Rock City has been on the project since 2013 and it has been consistent with it.
