Ogun Youth Group Congratulates APC Candidates, Calls for Renewed Efforts Towards Youth Development

The Gateway Progressive Youths has Congratulated all Candidates of the All Progressives Congress for the 2023 General election, while urging Candidates to include the development of youths of the state in thier plans.

The congratulatory message which was signed by the Coordinator, Olufemi Bashorun, stated that the conduct of the primary election in Ogun State by the APC is a testament of the Party’s commitment towards keeping the state on the path of progress.

According to him, "The resounding victory of Prince Dapo Abiodun in the primary election is an affirmation of his widely-acknowledged sterling performance in his first term.

"This week, All Progressives Congress members in Ogun State rose in their large numbers to exercise their democratic rights. Their decision was expressed in very unambiguous and unmistaken terms. We wholeheartedly congratulate and rejoice with the Governor.”

He added that Dapo Abiodun's victory was also an expression of confidence the teeming party members in Ogun had in his ability and capacity to propel the state to an even greater height with a track record of people-oriented projects in the state over the years in the second term.

While reacting to the successful conduct of the primary election, the PRO of the group, Olamide David applauded the peaceful process of the election. He said that the party members also deserve praise for ensuring that their choices were expressed freely, fairly, and unreservedly.

He commended the leadership of the party for ensuring the success of the primary election and for effectively mobilizing its members to participate fully in the electoral process

David further said that Dapo Abiodun submitted himself to the people and people’s power had prevailed, adding that his commitment to democracy, non-violent elections, nation-building, loyalty to the party, and party supremacy was particularly remarkable.

He also applauded security officers for creating the environment, which enabled the primary election to be conducted peacefully.

The group also advised its members across the three senatorial districts to get their PVC ready for the forthcoming general election and avoid any political vices that can stain the image of the group.
