APC Chieftain, Alhaji Bakai Empowers Women with Cash In Ogun





A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State Alhaji Bakai Okedara has empowered no fewer than 60 women with cash in Ward 12 Abeokuta North local government of Ogun State. 
Alhaji Bakai, a Deputy Contact and Mobilization Southwest TINUBU/SHETIMA PCC while speaking to journalists shortly after the event explained that the gesture was part of his effort to support Governor Dapo Abiodun's Okowo -Dapo initiative which aim is to alleviate poverty and improving the lives of indigents in the state.
He hinted that many factors contributed to his decision to support the beneficiaries, therefore it is of his believe that there is reward in helping others. 
The donor, urged the women to make use of the empowerment judiciously.

According to him "this gesture is also a way of ameliorating the sufferings of the women in the community and I implore you all to make use of it judiciously. 
Alhaji Bakai therefore appealed to all the beneficiaries to ensure that they deliver their ward to all the APC Candidates in the forthcoming elections saying that a "victory for Governor Abiodun at the polls, is a victory to all APC members.
On her parts, the Abeokuta North LG APC Chairman Alhaja Faidat Sarumi-Akintunde who was also at the event appreciated the donor, therefore appealed to all the beneficiaries to make use of the empowerment judiciously.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Ward facilitator Oko Owo-Dapo ward 12, Mrs Fagbohun Victoria praised Alhaji Bakai for using his personal resources to help the indigents, charging other privileged citizens to emulate him.

They also vowed to support Dapo Abiodun re-election and All the APC candidates in the forthcoming General Election 2023.


Present at the event included the Abeokuta North LG APC Chairman Alhaja Faidat Sarumi-Akintunde, LG exco Abk North Asiwaju Olusegun Oduleye, the LG Youth Leader, Comrade Akibo Solomon, ward 12 Councilor, Hon. Sanni Adejobi, LG Supervisor for Special Duties, Hon. Wole, Hon. Moroof Ajayi among others.
