Ogun to inaugurate prince court estate phase 11 before the end of Abiodun's first term 

Mr Wale Ojo, the General Manager, Ogun Housing Corporation has stated that the second phase of the Prince Court Estate currently undergoing construction would be inaugurated before the end of Gov. Dapo Abiodun's first term.

Ojo disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abeokuta on Wednesday.

The general manager noted that the prince court estate phase 11 located in Idi Aba in Abeokuta was about 75 per cent completion with 205 units.


" Our prince court estate phase 11 , Idi Aba, Abeokuta is on course, Infrastructural work ongoing , its a scheme that has 205 units and it is nearing completion .


" In terms of expression of completion stage , we are about 75 per cent to completion , the kind of work going on is of great quality.



" The state governor has provided the enabling environment to make it happen, not withstanding the high cost of building materials in the nation , the governor has continued to get the project funded.


" With the level of progress on the project , before the end of his first term in office, that estate will be ready for commissioning ," he said.


Ojo stated that the present state government was not just providing shelter, " we are doing housing where people will live and enjoy life . It comes with all basic amenities , infrastructural services that makes life worth living".



He reiterated that the overall objectives of the housing estate was to ensure that the entire people of the state enjoyed decent accommodation that are affordable .


" This present government has done more in the total number and quality of housing provided more than all the governor's , the military administrators that have served in Ogun state.


" By the time the governor comes back the second term, he is a man of his words , he has already surpassed what he promised the first term , as far as housing road map is concern," Ojo said.


The general manager noted that the various housing projects embarked upon by the present administration had influenced the economy of the state positively.


" The highest employer of labour is the construction industry , with what we have done in terms of provision of employment , getting people off the road and getting them busy , we have done in excess of 5,000 in terms of employment generation," he said. 


Ojo urged the people of the state to continue to have confidence in the present government, saying that when the first phase was commissioned, it was over subscribed .
