NYN Condemns Opposition Antics, Backs Ikenne State Constituency Assembly-elect, Owodunni 

...Don't be Distracted by the antics of opposition Party, you're the authentic winner of Ikenne State Constituency Election - NYN Tells Owodunni.

The Nigeria Youth Network (NYN), Ogun State Chapter has reiterated that the Assembly-Elect of Ikenne State Constituency, Babajide Owodunni should not to be distracted by the antics of the opposition party in his bid to give the people qualitative representation at the Ogun State House of Assembly.

This was made known in a statement made available to Newsmen by the PRO of the group, Oluwashogo Omofaye in Abeokuta, the State Capital.

The group urged Owodunni to shun the attempt of the opposition party and to allow distraction, urging him to focus on delivering on the good job that he was voted to do.

Reacting to the unfounded allegations raised by the opposition party, the coordinator of the group, Akorede Olufemi condemned the actions of the opposition party, describing it as an act of cowardice.

He said that those who go about falsely accusing the authentic winners of an election are bad losers. He also called on the public to ignore their efforts in gaining cheap publicity.

"The victory of Babajide Owodunni in the polls as the Assembly-Elect of Ikenne State Constituency Election has been authenticated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) through the issuance of Certificate of Return. Therefore, all efforts to discredit the issuance of the certificate by INEC is a waste of time and effort", he said.

"Politics is not a do-or-die affair, the people have voted for Owodunni because of the confidence that they have in him, and the results of the election are a reflection of such confidence".

"The desperation of the opposition party to discredit the victory of Babajide Owodunni at the polls as the Assembly-Elect of Ikenne State Constituency is shameful. In their desperate bid to rubbish the desires of the people through the election, the opposition party has contradicted itself countless times"

"Only politicians with the substance have been attacked with rumours on social media as much as Owodunni has been attacked, and that's a testament to the fact that he's popular in the Constituency", Akored added

While charging Owodunni to prove to the people that they made the best decision in voting for him to represent the constituency, the group urged the opposition party to join hands with Owodunni to deliver a more prosperous Ikenne State Constituency.
