Eid-el-Fitri Celebration: Ogun Commissioner, Hon. Afuape Urges Muslims To Embrace Peace, Tolerance At All Levels

The Ogun state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Moruf Afolabi Afuape has joined well meaning Nigerians to felicitated with Muslims across Ogun and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

Afuape in his Eid message urged all Muslims and indeed other members of the public to celebrate with moderation and a deep reflection about their collective existence.

He however called on the people to remain supportive and prayerful for Governor Dapo Abiodun's administration for a continued peaceful co-existence that will pave way for rapid growth and development of the state.

“As we merry and thank Allah for sparing our lives to witness this year’s celebration, let’s embrace peace, tolerance and unity at all levels.

“I urge everyone of us to celebrate with moderation and deep reflection about our collective existence and show utmost love and care to one and another, especially in this lock down.

“Let’s continue to support and pray for our leaders and the continued sustenance of peace across the land in order to pave way for continued rapid socio-economic and political developments of our dear state.”
