Crisis has continued to trail the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC),Ogun State chapter on the zoning template for the leadership of the 10th State House of Assembly, as opposition party kicked against exclusion of Yewa North/Imeko federal constituency from the sharing of principal officers of the legislature. Councilors in Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State have suspended the Chairman of the Local Government, Mr. Wale Adedayo for three months on allegations of maladministration and financial mismanagement. Seven Councilors, on Thursday said the Legislative Council received various allegations that need to be investigated and directed Mr. Adedayo to appear at its next sitting on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Fifteen allegations were levelled against the suspended chairman. Students in Ogun State have disowned the Ogun Central Senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, describing him as a misfit for the seat. The students made the decision in a statement issued and jointly signed by the Chairman of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Damilola Simeon, Global President of National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), Ogunrombi Gbemileke and Nigeria President of the Progressive Students Movement (PSM), Okerafor Bestman, NANS Southwest Coordinator, Emmanuel Olatunji and NANS, National Deputy Senate President, Segun Elvis.
