Ilaro Poly Is Ripe For University of Technology, Says Ogun Speaker

The Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, *Rt. Hon. Olukunle Taiwo Oluomo* has reinstated the fact that only technical and technolohical education can help to build a great nation, adding that he was anxiously awaiting the time when the *Federal Polytechnic Ilaro will become a university of Technology.*

The Speaker made this assertion today while inspecting the *COVID-19 equipment designed and fabricated by the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro.*

The equipment inspected are, two models of *mechanical ventilator, multiple outlets mechanical Handwashing and sanitizing machine, electronically operated walk through door disinfectant and a Movable Environmental Sanitizer*
 
According to him, "I am so impressed by the various equipment showcased here,  and I  will encourage all the Honourable members of the House to acquire two or three of the multiple outlet Hand washing and sanitizing machine for schools in their constituencies.
He therefore directed the Rector of the Polytechnic, Arc. Olusegun Aluko, Ph. D to forward the unit cost implication for producing the machine.

While welcoming and conducting the  Honourable speaker and his entourage round the equipment, the Rector said that all the components used for the innovations were locally sourced adding that "if funds are available, any of, and all the equipment could be mass-produced to specification within  very short time".
Earlier, the Speaker had introduced Hon. Bolanle Ajayi as the facilitator of his visit to the institution to see the the great work being done. 

It would be recalled that Hon. Ajayi was on a visit to the polytechnic to give her support when the first ventilator was produced with a promise to always support the activities of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.

The Hon. Speaker was accompanied to the Polytechnic by Hon. Bolanle Latifat Ajayi,  representing Yewa South State Constituency and Hon. Adejojo Yusuf representing Abeokuta South State Constituency 1.
