LP Chairman, Arabambi Condemns Amosun's 8yrs In Office

The Ogun State Labour Party Chairman, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi has said the administration led by the  former Governor of the state, Senator Ibikunke Amosun was not in the interest of the State but a cheeky means of making some personal gains.

In a press statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta the state capital, Arabambi hinted that it is unbelievable to hear Amosun who in the eight years of the last nine years was the Governor of Ogun State blaming the Governor Dapo Abiodun who is having his first rainy season in his very first year in office for the flooding in very many parts of the State.

The chairman explained that Labour Party as the party representing the interests of the mainly the less privileged in the State including the civil servants , private working class , farmers , artisans , students , etc  will not fold  arms and allow very bad political office holders to continue to misgovern the people with loads of loses and inconveniences any longer."

It would be recalled that Amosun recently visited some parts areas affected by last weekend torrential rain, regretted the huge loss caused by the flood.

Arabambi explained that from whichever way one looks at the visit, it comes up so much very insincere, insensitive and  highly oppressive.

According to him "It is obvious and so clear that the major factors that this time raised all the bars of flooding in the affected areas are the direct result of the selective and dishonest activities of the Government  led by Fmr Gov  Amosun  on the roads in the affected areas in his so unfortunate eight years of grossly incompetent 8 years rule of the State.

"It is really an irony to see someone who inflicted a great hurt on a people come around to pretend sympathy for his victims."

"This is a real proof  to point out the fact that anyone elected as Governor only to  perform poorly while in office will have to  get confronted by the damages caused by his poor performance."

"It is unbelievable to hear Amosun who in the eight years of the last nine years was the Governor of Ogun State blaming the Governor Dapo Abiodun who is having his first rainy season in his very first year in office for the flooding in very many parts of the State . This is the sign of a highly confused mind."

"How rational does it sound hearing from a man who was the immediate past Governor of a State for eight years blaming a 14 - months - old Governor for the overdue infrastructural decadence in the State ?."

"Let us try to go on a short recollection and reflection on the  various damages done by Amosun and his dangerously anti people Government on the various roads in the State that are today put into serious and very precarious situation with the attendant loses in properties and environmental insecurities to the people :

 (1) Adigbe / Opako road including the bridge at Opako .

(2) Kuto / Amolaso road 

(3) The purported roadworks at Ijeja .

(4)Enugada/ Adatan road. 

(5)Lafenwa/ rounder road .

Above are some of the roads Amosun and his deceptive Government pretended to have redone but mostly , either  abandoned or shoddily undertaken by the unknown and unidentifiable incompetent contractors."

"All the various incompetent works done on all these roads so very shoddily with the widely suspected objective of corrupt practices are today the major reasons for the current higher flooding of the various areas referred to in Abeokuta."

"It is an incontestable fact that all the years of the tenure of the Fmr Gov Amosun,  Governance were purposely geared towards very many projects that were not programmed to be concluded but mainly to promote avenues for various corrupt practices that benefit only the ones known to Amosun but which have now combined to trouble the well - being of the people of the State currently reaping undeserved loses and damages in properties across the State."

"It has now come to be seen that the aims of the immediate past Government of Amosun was not in the interest of the State but a cheeky means of making some personal gains. The pattern in every inch of the corrupted processes employed by Ibikunle Amosun in his choice of a mono sector development in the State at the expense of other sectors is clearly for the personal benefits of a few people who are Amosun's family and friends."

"Another worrisome and challenging of the various reckless,dubious  and insensitive  awards made to his  contractor- friends but greatly unfriendly to the people is that of the N52billion model schools awarded to ghost contractors in all  the Local Government Areas in the State that are now abandoned after the contractors have been paid."

"The one and only almost completed by a known human being  is the one named after Chief Akin Ogunpola, while about 95% of the cost had been paid to the contractors."

"A look at the flooding on Ijeja / Igbore axis is one flooding that Amosun should be very sorry for.

 This is a road that ought to be giving him sleeplessness."

"It is now being reported by the FRSC that flood has taken over a large portion of Owode / Ilogbo junction along Abeokuta/ Sango road with a heavy traffic gridlock , this is a road without drainage that Amosun keep saying he completed."

"Take the needles flyover bridge which was constructed at Mokola / Elega junction solely with the main interest of looting the State treasury by the Amosun Government . Let us again consider the false and wickedly misleading claim of Amosun that he paid compensation of about #7billion as claims to the people whose properties are demolished through his then Commissioner for Works during the construction of that same road."

"It is quite a very troubling development to now see Amosun with several Camera going round on what he indecently called sympathy visit to the flooded areas that his eight years of maladministration, institutionalise slavery, diversion of pension, non payment of gratuities invasion of ogun state with merceneries contractors  known with perpetual attributes for  corrupt practices put us in the situation we are now experiencing and on top of it all callously claiming that his visit was to assess the damages so as to enable him make a presentation to the NASS for some consideration from the Federal Government , this is coming from someone who spent eight years in the Governance of the State which caused the damages in the first place as he couldn't do nothing helpful."

"Meanwhile , it has become imperative for the entire people to begin to shed the prevailing attitude of docility and the tolerance of bad and poor leadership by growing much more concerned with how they are governed."

"The former Governor is moving around Abeokuta, to inspect the destruction caused by the ravaging floods under the pretex of having human face and  sympathy for residents of these ravaged areas he abandoned for 8 years despite the relatively unfettered access to huge State funds he enjoyed at the time."

"It is equally worrisome and insulting his none admittance  to the people that if only he had fixed the challenge of flood control, the State wouldn’t have had this subsisting challenge to contend with."

"Fmr Governor Amosun “Mission to Rebuild Ogun State” was a deceptive and destructive mission since  it was clearly visible that the ravaging floods had swept away more than half of the road,he fraudulently spent over 250billion  on. Because Senator Amosun has contributed more problems for the good people of Ogun State than he meet it, he is  here by advise to go for full rehabilitation and seek forgiveness from God and humans."

"We wish to put it on record that Prince Dapo Abiodun has against  the wrongs of the emperor dictator, embarked on the completion of  many project Fmr  Gov Amosun abandoned, while claiming to have fully paid for them including the total reconstruction of  all bridges that Senator Amosun met in good shape but left in dangerous conditions.'
