Lagos state health commissioner has tested positive to COVID

 The commissioner for Health in Lagos state, Prof Akin Abayomi has tested positive to the Coronavirus. He will be in self isolation for the next 14 days. This is according to the special assistant to Gov. Sanwo-olu on new media, Gawat Jubril.

Ogun students disown APC Senatorial District candidate, says he is misfit

Students in Ogun State have disowned the Ogun Central Senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, describing him as a misfit for the seat. The students made the decision in a statement issued and jointly signed by the Chairman of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Damilola Simeon, Global President of National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS),  Ogunrombi Gbemileke and Nigeria President of the Progressive Students Movement (PSM), Okerafor Bestman, NANS Southwest Coordinator, Emmanuel Olatunji and NANS, National Deputy Senate President, Segun Elvis.  They alleged that Salisu mobilised armed thugs in his convoy to attack and intimidate and coerce people to do his bids.
