Hoodlums Attack NIYAS Team, Destroy Cars At Hon. Adeshina's Birthday

Suspected hoodlums Tuesday evening attacked the Councillorship  Aspirant for ward 16, Abeokuta North Local Government, Comrade Shokunle Afeez popularly known as NIYAS at the Hon. Adeshina's birthday party.

An eyewitness, Sunday Adeagbo who confirmed the attacked said the hoodlums were politically sponsored by unpopular councillorship aspirant who happens to be an opponent to NIYAS, of which his intention was to gain relevancy and popularity.

Adeagbo who expressed displeasure over the attack said It was unfortunate that violence is being used to settle scores instead of showcasing agenda they have 
for the masses. 
He accused the hoodlums for destroying vehicles worth millions of naira, injured NIYAS supporters, lost of valuable items and many more.

Speaking to Journalists shortly after the incident, NIYAS explained that something similar had happened during the commissioned of borehole water facilitated by Abeokuta North Transition Chairman Hon. Tella adding that they narrowly escaped.

He hinted that the same set of people reenforced to attack them at Hon. Adeshina's birthday adding that he's life and his supporters are no more save all in the name of politics. 

According to him "It was confirmed that banners that I did to felicitate with 'Baba Adeshina' was removed by hoodlums from his entrance and couldn't be traced till date.

"Lately that same day, we were attacked by the same set of hoodlums with dangerous weapons while my supporters sustained injuries, Items were lost and car were destroyed".

Victims are being taking care of, and complains has been made to the appropriate quarters to caution the parpetrator, instruct him to clear injured victims treatment bills, and repair the vanderlised vehicle before legal action is taken, NIYAS concluded.
