The Ogun state Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Taiwo Oludotun otherwise known as Twinny has declared his support for a political group under the auspices of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Dapo Abiodun Likeminds (DALM).
Dapo Abiodun Likeminds is a political mobilizer group established by the Special Adviser to Governor Abiodun on Inter-ethnic, Adewale Nurudeen Aka.
Hon. Oludotun while receiving the Abeokuta North Coordinator of the group, Mr. Akinyele Ogunpola on Monday advised the group to be tolerant and accommodate everybody irrespective of their wards and zones.
The Commissioner while commending the initiative, charged the Coordinator to be respect the constituted authority of the party and ensure fairness, equity and balance in the selection of the local government and wards exco.
"I want to commend your efforts. This is a laudable initiative to build structure for His Excellency, but I want to advice you to be fair to everyone and carry everybody along.
"If you want to succeed in this new task you have chosen to support the governor, ensure you look for grassroots mobilizers in each ward and let your selection for the local government and wards exco cut across all the zones.
"As for me, I'm belong to nobody, but I'm for everybody. I can assure you, I will be available at your inauguration and give you my support."
Speaking earlier, the local government Coordinator, Akinyele Ogunpola said he came to visit the commissioner to intimate him of the forthcoming inauguration of the local government executive billed to hold on November 19, 2020.
The banker cum politician said the idea of the group was to muster support for the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for a successful tenure in office through empowerment and awareness programmes at the grassroots.
Similarly, the Coordinator equally met with the Caretaker Chairman, Abeokuta North local government, Hon. Tunde Tella at the council secretariat in Akomoje, Abeokuta.
Tella who declared his support to the group, also enjoined Ogunpola to be transparent and network among the 16 wards of the local government.
