LG Poll: Chairmanship Aspirant Urges Gov. Abiodun To Give Youths Special Status

A Chairmanship aspirant in Abeokuta South Local Government area of Ogun State, under the umbrella of All Progressive Congress (APC), Mustapha Kodaolu Olajide has urged the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to give youths the opportunity to execute their positive ideas for collective progress and unity through the conduct and participation in Local government administration in the State.
Mustapha spoke while addressing  members of his constituency in Abeokuta South Local Government area of the state on Sunday.

Mustapha said he is desirous to serve and support the governor's vision for the people of Abeokuta South and Ogun state at large.

He noted that youths in the state will support the party at all times, towards sustaining the ideals of the All Progressive Congress.

According to him "Great people of Abeokuta South, the purpose of local government is to provide an organized system where councils exercise their power and responsibilities to work together for peace, order and good governance of their communities."

“Effective local Government therefore provides overall quality of life for the people who reside in their communities.

With undivided loyalty to the Central authority, under the leadership of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, I Mustapha Kodaolu Olajide desire to serve my root and to support our Governor’s vision for the good people of Abeokuta South."

“I hereby present myself to you as the bridge builder and the unifying point of Abeokuta south".

Mustapha otherwise known as MKO stated the reasons behind his ambition in the local Government.

“I am here as an embodiment of the people’s will, saying no more settling for less, and yes to aspiring new and enviable heights. I know this is possible with adequate support from our

leaders and everyone I see today.

“In order to continue the excellent work started by our transition committee under the leadership of Hon. Ayodeji Shomide, an accountable and accessible youth like myself must succeeds in the coming Chairmanship election to recreate an image of Abeokuta south industry, hard work, integrity and dedication to duty that it consistently uphold”.

Mustapha setup an agenda which was tagged ” MKO DEVELOPMENT AGENDA” which includes categories and each with its goals.such as Education development programs,Youth empowerment and support programmes, Women empowerment and support programs, the elderly empowerment and support programmes, Agricultural Development Programs, Communities intervention programmes, Special aid programmes that supports the Artisans and people with disabilities among others.

However, he assured his followers that the party, All Progressive Congress (APC) Wlwill remain strong and capable of fulfilling their thirst for progressive change in the state.
