LOBOT Emerges Phone Seller's Chairman After Defeating Pascal With 258 Votes

Members of Mobile Phones Dealers and Technicians Association, Abeokuta, Ogun State chapter on Wednesday elected, Mr. Ifebola Togunwa as their new Chairman.

LOBOT was declared a winner after  defeating his arch rival, Adebowale Adebayo otherwise known as Pascal with 258 votes to 70 votes.

It would be recalled that, Pascal was impeached for his alleged financial misappropriation within nine months in office.

Following his removal, LOBOT was appointed as interim Chairman for 2years by the Olubara of Ibaraland, Oba Michael Omolade to complete Pascal's tenure and conduct fresh election.

However, at the Wednesday's poll, the enthusiastic members returned Togunwa as their Chairman for the next two years in a peaceful election monitored by operatives of Nigeria Police.

While speaking with journalists shortly after returned elected, Togunwa promised maintain a good working relationship with the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration in the state.

He said he would ensure the construction of the association's Secretariat at their permanent site provided by the State Government.

While assuring members of the public to flush out the bad eggs among the association, Togunwa promised to build on the existing working relationship with security agencies in the state.

Other elected officers are; Atinshola Sheriff, Vice Chairman, Ayotunde Shobanke, General Secretary, Kolawole Sonola as Treasurer, Oyeleye Oladimeji as PRO, Olalekan Adebowale as Assistant Secretary, Salaudeen Quadri as Welfare Director.
