Ogun Waterside LG Vice-Chairman, Phillips, Eulogises NYCN, Pledges Support Towards Development of Technology

The Vice-Chairman of Ogun-Waterside Local Government, Princess Abioye Phillips has expressed her appreciation to the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogun-Waterside branch for donating computer sets to her Alma-Mater, Abigi Community Grammar School, Abigi.

She made this known when the leadership of the Council paid her a courtesy visit at her office in Abigi on Friday. 

The Computer sets were donated to the school by the Council, to aid the advancement of technology amongst secondary school students in the local government.

Phillips thanked the Council for this step, saying that the development of the younger generation is the responsibility of all stakeholders.

She said, "I thank NYCN Ogun-Waterside for donating Computer sets to my Alma-mater, Abigi Community Grammar School".

"I'm grateful for the contribution of NYCN to the development of our Local Government. I'm certain that the computer sets will be put to good use for the advancement of technology".

She urged the Council members to continue to be good Ambassadors of the Local Government, adding that she will always support the activities of the Council where needed.

The NYCN Coordinator in Ogun-Waterside LG, Taiwo Olufowobi, attributed the Council's decision to contribute to the development of the younger generation to the need for Students from the LG to meet up with global standards.

According to him, "We all are involved in the advocacement of technology in our LG and Ogun State in general. It is not the duty of the government alone, it is a collective responsibility", he concluded.
