A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship aspirant in Ogun State Prince John Adegbola has appealed to governments at all levels to invest more in sports development as it is a virile tool for societal peace and unity.

Adegbola gave the charge at the closing ceremony of the ESAN NATIONAL 5 ASIDE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP, held at the Federal College of Education, Osiele Abeokuta, the state capital.

The PDP chieftain who equally believe that government alone cannot provide the needed funds to develop sports, called on individuals and corporate organizations to also contribute their quota towards the development of sports in the country.

Adegbola popularly known as ADEJOHN was represented by one of his associates, Mr Hafees Kareem (Obalola) also decorated as sports loving man due to his love and contribution to sports development in the state.

He commended the organizer of the event for a job well done and urged him to continue in his good steps.

"We had 8 teams participated in the championship namely; Golden Boys FC, Jingle Fc, ESAN team, ELEMENTALS FC, 10 stars FC, OSTRICH boys, PACESETTERS FC and NASELS FC."

"This teams were made up of students from different departments and they also include NCE and DEGREE Students coming together to form them"
