Crisis Looms Ogun IPAC As Members Plotting Arabambi, Adedamola Removal for Supporting Dapo Abiodun, Ready to switch allegiance to Senator Amosun

There may have been crack in the leadership structure of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has members of the group have shifted their loyalty to Senator Ibikunle Amosun accusing the leadership headed by Asiwaju Adedamola of selling out and abandoning welfare of members.

The aggrieved political party leaders on Monday, met with Senator Ibikunle Amosun with an assurance of working for his APC faction in Ogun state.

Amosun who is at loggerhead with the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun over the control of the party's structure in Ogun state met with opposition parties in the state under the auspices of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in a bid to work for him ahead of 2023 general elections.

According to an impeccable source, the meeting was called at the instance of former SUBEB Chairman, Alhaji Jelili Okewole.

The source who pleaded anonymity for fear of attack said the group had met on two occasions between Saturday, 13th and Monday, 15th November 2021 at Okewole's office, Abiola way in Abeokuta.

She claimed that Amosun had assured them of providing their request before Governor Abiodun including a befitting secretariat and monthly running cost.

Another source that attended the meeting said, the opposition parties decided to work with Senator Amosun as a result of Governor Abiodun's failed promises in the last two years.

He claimed that the only three people that have been pleading for time on behalf of Governor Abiodun without any tangible positive impacts are Comrade Arabambi, Asiwaju Adedamola, and Otunba Soluade.

He said, "these are the people telling us every day to be patient since November 5th, 2019 when Comrade Arabambi led over 85 Political parties to Governor Dapo Abiodun where we endorsed his administration with a vote of confidence.

"We told  Alh. Jelili Okewole that all the promise of all-inclusiveness and appointment in PDA administration has failed and yet these set of three people have been coming with one excuse that SSG is on top of it, another time they will claim the SSG has passed it to the Governor while other time they said, Hon. Egbetokun has taken over our request to the Governor, but we discovered that they  are all  lying and deceiving us because Comrade Arabambi, Asiwaju Adedamola,Otunba Soluade and  few others have been compensated with several millions of naira from the Governor while the rest of opposition political parties has nothing to show despite our cooperation.

"We discovered that nothing positive  can come from Governor Dapo Abiodun to Ogun IPAC thus there is no need for further collaboration with the administration of Dapo Abiodun because they told us SSG has handed over to Hon Egbetokun but nothing is left for us again in this administration."

He continued, "there is no openness from the government again as those we called our leaders are just enjoying everything with Governor Dapo Abiodun while we are used and dumped. We are now ready to take our rightful place as no further collaboration will be extended to this administration."
