Ijebu Agog As 2021 Fashion Festival Holds Friday


The much anticipated Ijebu Feshion Festival is set to hold on Friday, 12th November 2021 at the prestigious Olutoyese park and gardens, Ago Iwoye, in Ogun State.


The much talked about fashion festival tagged 'Ijebu Fashion Festival' is set to hold on Friday, 12th November 2021 at the prestigious Olutoyese park and gardens, Ago Iwoye, in Ogun State.

The event which is billed to attracts various dignitaries from all works of life is organised by famous fashion enterprenuer, Miss Ayokunle Maraiyesa, who says all finishing touches are geared towards making the day a memorable one.

Maraiyesa stated that "Ijebu Fashion Festival is a local platform, that is designed for fresh and emerging designers and artists who want exposure but do not have great finances for international shows or organize their own private shows.

"We also give them the opportunity to showcase and mingle with established designers and other stakeholders in the industry.

"Our main focus is to use fashion as an instrument of sustainability, social change and to celebrate our common heritage as an ethnic with its own unique fashion trends.

"We also seek to create awareness, recognition and appreciation of budding and local designers in Ijebu community.

“This fashion event is first of its kind in Ogun state and it is our pride that it is happening in Ago Iwoye”, she added.

Dignitaries expected at the event includes, Sen. Olalekan Mustapha, (senator representing Ogun East), Oba Adbdulrasaq Adenugba, (Ebumawe of Ago Iwoye), Alhaji Safiriyu Adebanjo Kazeem, (CEO SAF Petroleum), Olori Olanike Adenugba, Yeye Abidemi Ogundipe, and Prince (Dr.) Feyisayo Soyewo, among others.

The event will also have activities which includes masterclasses, trade fair, game and fashion shows as well as pageantry.
