Jubilation As Over 80 Constituents Benefit from Ogun Lawmaker, Ademuyiwa Empowerment Program



Hon. Ademuyiwa Adeyemi, APC Lawmaker representing Abeokuta South II State Constituency, has empowered no fewer than 80 constituents with cash gifts and donations.

The empowerment programme which began on February 15, 2022 for his constituents took the legislator round all wards while also appreciating them for the trust they reposed in him. 

“Because these are people we worked with and they helped us, we are here to recognize and appreciate them."

“In the past, we have done empowerment programmes and many more that did not concern party politics, but this time, it will be good we recognize people that have worked for the party,” he said.

Adeyemi, who chairs the House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, said the present leadership at the House remains committed to making laws that will help reduce the poverty rate in Ogun state in line with the ISEYA mantra of the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration.

He said: “My primary function is to make laws for my constituency, but because of the state of our nation, I have prioritized empowerment in my constituency as a key responsibility, still within my campaign promises."

“This empowerment programme is in fulfilment of my electoral promises during the 2019 general elections and I am poised to do more, as a lawmaker representing this constituency.”

Adeyemi hinted that as a member of the House of Assembly, in addition to his core legislative responsibilities, making laws through bills, bringing the plight of the people to the fore by the way of motions and petitions, he has facilitated many empowerment programmes within his constituency such as provision of school sandals for pupils, sponsoring of surgical operation for the aged, provision of borehole water, road palliative among others.

He said: “I am still vehemently focused on facilitating the rehabilitation of key road construction projects through the state ministry of works."

“To mention a few, I have facilitated repairs on Ijeja-Igbore link bridge and Ijaiye - Ijeun titun road and will continue to lobby the appropriate agencies, FERMA and the Ministry of Works and Housing on our roads."

Adeyemi however implored the beneficiaries to ensure that the cash gifts are used judiciously while urging the party supporters to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) to enable them to vote in the 2023 general elections.

Beneficiaries noted that Hon. Ademuyiwa Adeyemi has been one of the best representative to ever represent them promising to re-elect him in 2023.

"He is the best, no doubt. I advice other political leaders to emulate his virtue and values."

Leaders of the party present at the empowerment programme promised thier resolve to rigorously campaign for Hon. Ademuyiwa Adeyemi's re-election.
