Ogun Lawmaker, Adeyemi congratulates Gov. Abiodun's new appointees, tasks on good governance

Ogun State House of Assembly member, Hon. Ademuyiwa Adeyemi has congratulated the new local government appointees In Abeokuta South Local Government and other local governments across the gateway state.

Hon. Adeyemi in a statement in Abeokuta described these appointments as a response to the call to institute best practices and the right people in governance especially at the grassroot level. 

Adeyemi who doubles as the house committee Chairman on Education Science & Technology while enumerating the track record and antecedents of the appointees in their private capacities urged them to make choices that will enhance the promotion of people’s aspirations.

His words, ‘I write to congratulate you on your emergence as Local Government appointees . This elevation eloquently testifies to the Governor’s response to the need to institute best practice by the recruitment of the right people into the right places to enhance the derivatives of democracy in the state.

Hon. Adeyemi while noting that the state government had remained focused and sure-footed in delivering good governance to the people of the state even under harsh economic climate and the Covid-19 pandemic, urged the appointees to sustain the agenda of the government in their various portfolios by spreading goodwill among the people.

According to him, the citizens would appreciate the efforts and programmes of the state government more, when those in positions of authority, make themselves accessible, engaging and helpful to the people.

"By the privilege of your appointment, destiny has formed you to be a part of the positive developments happening across the state, in line with the ISEYA mantra of the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration. Regardless of our peculiar challenges, your appointment to the Local Government Executive Council has impacted the threshold of our inalienable Socio-Economic guarantees."
