Sought-After Creative Academy, a tuition free school located in the heart of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital is on the verge of shutting down it's operations due to lack of funding.
Speaking exclusively with The News Ville, the founder of the academy, Anfela Tolulope stated that the challenges of running the academy free is enormous, saying that the support systems has become lean.
She noted that payment of salaries, buying of uniforms, educational materials, and play yard equipments has been hampered recently, which if not urgently attended to might lead to the shutting down of operations.
"We need people that can assist with the school upkeep. We are at the verge of shutting down.
"We need to be able to pay salaries to staff and stipends to our volunteers. Things hasn't been so good recently with us but we believe God to come through for us.
"What we do here is about passion for the kids. We don't charge their parents any Kobo, it's all for free because we are located where the standard of living is very low so we want to be able to support these families with quality education for their children", she added
Founder in 2017, Sought-After Creative academy, located at C2 Olorunsogo street, Saraki Adigbe Abeokuta is in need of a school bus, standard school building and other supports to keep the school afloat.
