Event management is the application of project management to the creation and development of small and/or large-scale personal or corporate events such as festivals, conferences, ceremonies, weddings, formal parties, concerts, or conventions.

Elegant events started 5 years ago through a friend who believed in my potentials , by trusting her wedding day(April 22,2017) in my care. I never believed I could do it, but Omobolanle Opaleye Sholuade said you can.

According to the CEO, Mrs Adebukola Okuneye-Abolade, she said we all have our special interest , which a friend saw in me, because I love planning and arrangement of things at work then at Airtel customer care , I never saw it as something that will bring money, but I love making parties look set and asking friends for update of their events,have you done this, have you done that.

The journalist by profession said network have also helped my career, I’m a reader and researcher, I love learning everyday to keep me on track in event planning through trainings and seminars.

In Nigeria today, event planning have been one business that have helped youths for survival , hence Government involvement is needed , she explained 

She however said Event planning will not be a success, firstly to God almighty, destiny maker, the Great planner Himself for ideas, concept and creativity, my parents (for all the support to make sure I’m okay anytime I say I want to do this or that, without asking questions, they trust my ideas, and their advices have gone a long way), my siblings are being the best (they are the real owner of Elegant) , if not for them standing by me, my husband is awesome and amazing blessing to my brand (the only man who will say what should I do and talk insult from client because of me), my friend (most especially barrister Habeeb Whyte any thing event I’m always on his mind, my former boss, Engineer Opeoluwa Kilasho his company events am always the planner , Aare Sunday Ogunsola the referral are always appreciated, Founder Penpushing media , Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji , allowing me to plan his first born wedding, my friends, clients and referral are awesome people.

Elegant team, are the best, without them no elegant events , the coordinators, ushers, waiters, saxophonist, chanter, all my vendors for the tolerance, support and love.
