2023: 19 LGs Chairmen Endorses Ezekiel Fayoyin As NNPP Ogun Guber Candidate

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Ogun State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has endorsed Hon. Olujobi Ezekiel Fayoyin as the preferred Governorship candidate in the state coming election.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed by all state executive members and all chairmen from 19 LGs in the state.

According to the statement "In accordance to the procedure of nomination of candidate for the gubernatorial election in conformity with the provision of section 84(1) of the Electoral Act 2022, and in compliance with article 13(9) of NNPP's constitution the undersigned further to the provision of the section 84 of the Electoral Act on the nomination of candidate for the gubernatorial Election to be conducted in a democratic manner.''

"In Our attempt to ensure peace, unity and harmony, the Ogun NNPP State Executive Council members hereby today 2 of June, 2022 nominate and endorse Hon. OLUJOBI EZEKEIL FAYOYIN as the candidate of Ogun NNPP for the 2023 Gubernatorial Election by consensus.''

The statement added that "All the State Executive Members in including Chairmen of the 20 Local Government of Ogun State unanimously signed here to affirm and confirm the candidacy of Hon OLUJOBI EZEKIEL FAYOYIN as our consensus candidate for the 6th of June Gubernatorial Primaries election of New Nigeria People's Party Ogun State."
