Ogun Women Journalists Hold Retreat In Preparation For 2023 General Elections




The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Ogun State Chapter Is Organizing a three day Retreat on the need to keep Journalists abreast of the New trends in the The Profession in preparation for the next year general Elections.

A statement by the Ogun NAWOJ Chairperson,Mrs Modupeola Sobukonla and the Chairman Planning Committee, Mrs Sekinat Salam Opebiyi indicates that the retreat with the theme  "Media Equal Access for Political Participation and Reporting" will be held at Park Inn by Radisson Hotels Kuto Abeokuta From Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th July.

According to them, array of speakers have been selected for the retreat Including The Deputy Director, Training ,Voice of Nigeria, Mrs Ugonma Cokey, Mrs Funmi Wakama, the General Manager of NTA Abeokuta,  a former Chief Press Secretary, to Former Governor Gbenga Daniel, Mr Dare Folarin and the Ogun State Coordinator of Nigeria Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Mrs Bosede Williams.

The Ogun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Odusile is the Special Guest of Honour and while be declaring The Retreat opened.

Selected Male and Female Journalists across the state have been Selected as participants where they will be camped for three day with a visit to the Beach on Friday Morning.
