COURT UPHOLDS DOREGOES AS APC AUTHENTIC CANDIDATE

A Federal High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has nullified the prayer of Honourable Yusuf Adejojo a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly member , representing constituency one , Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the State who challenged the victory of Honourable Oluwatobi Taiwo Doregoes, as the winner of the All Progressive Congress (APC) primary election in the State.

The case was determined today at the Abeokuta Federal High Court before Justice O O. Oguntoyinbo which emanated over the outcome of the results of primary election of the All Progressives Congress candidates for Abeokuta South constituency one , in all the constituency wards across the Local Government areas of the state where Hon. Oluwatobi Taiwo emerged as the candidates for constituency 


Justice O O . guntoyinbo, of Federal High Court notified the prayer and case brought before him by Mr. Yusuf Adejojo, saying it has no locus standing and without any iota of fact and evidence to back his claims. Due to lack of substantial evidence , the case was eventually knocked out outrightly in favour of Hon. Oluwatobi Taiwo Doregoes as the APC candidate representing the Abeokuta South constituency one , House of Assembly in the State.


Mr Adejojo is the present Honourable member of Ogun State House of Assembly with intention to seek for reelection in 2023 obtained a nomination form to contest for the same office despite the warning of the people in the constituency not do so because he had failed them as their Hon.
 A report revealed that he neglected his area without a single project to show his commitment to the well-being of his constituency and has not to do so or even sponsored any bill towards the development of the constituency.


Also speaking with the news men at the court the judgement in Abeokuta were the duo of Otunba Saka Adebayo and Mrs. Oluwatoyin Ikudeti in a separate interview expressed their views.Though they both said Hon. Adejojo had failed them without any commitment or projects for members of the constituency and that he has not brought any developmenal initiative to the area.


They commended the Judge for being firm and fair in his judgment, saying they were in support of the court ruling for laying the foundation of making true changes in the political setting of the country. Their submission was that the judgement will serve as lesson for others who use to abandoned their socio-economic responsibilities to their people after elected into the office.
