FOREST GUARDS, OTHERS TASKED ON EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY

Forest guards, Chief Rangers, Division Forestry Programme Office (DFPO) and other critical stakeholders in the Ogun State Ministry of Forestry, have been tasked to ensure regeneration, protection and adequate surveillance of government forest reserves across the State.

Commissioner in the Ministry, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun made the call at the maiden meeting at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, with the uniformed forestry officers, saying the management would provide necessary support needed for them to carry out their functions effectively, for the Ministry to achieve its revenue profile.

According to the Commissioner, "As critical stakeholders, you should ensure that all government forest reserves are protected against illegal and nefarious activities”.

Earlier in his remark, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Lateef Benson, enjoined the officers to always be at their duty posts, saying an unscheduled visit would be made to them.
