Gateway Progressive Youths Congratulates Salisu, Tinubu, Charges Ogun Youths to Vote Dapo Abiodun, APC Across Board
The Gateway Progressive Youths has sent a congralutory message to Senator Salisu for his victory at the Ogun Central Senatorial election held on Saturday.
The group also congratulated Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima who were both elected to run the affairs of the country for the next four years.
The group, while congratulating the Senator-elect, in a statement by its Director of Publicity, Olamide David said the election of Salisu signifies great hope for the for the people of Ogun Central.
The Coordinator of the group, Olufemi Bashorun said that the people of Ogun Central and Nigeria at large have spoken with great hope for a better Nigeria through the polls by voting Salisu into the upper chamber, and the Tinubu/Shettima Presidency.
The group further charged Youths in Ogun state not to relent in the campaign to re-elect Prince Dapo Abiodun, saying that the Governor is a true son of the soil who in his private and public life accommodates Nigerians from various ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds.
The statement partly reads, "We call on the good people of Ogun State to vote Dapo Abiodun to continue to use his experience in transforming Ogun state
"Our dear Ogun State is at a point where we need quality leadership and all patriotic individuals must work tirelessly for a better Ogun through our democratic process and not through violence by peacefully voting Dapo Abiodun".
The group also cuasioned Youths in Ogun against electoral violence before, during and after the election, adding that the choice of leadership must be done through the ballot for it to be effective
