Group Congratulates Tinubu On His Emergence As Nigeria President-Elect
A political group, Forum of Political Parties has congratulated the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, after he was declared winner of the presidential election held on Saturday.
Tinubu secured a total of 8,794,726 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) finished in second place with 6,984,520 votes.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) came third with 6,101,533 votes.
The group in a press statement issued through its National Secretary Comrade Wolimoh Olajide described the election as a demonstration of the Nigerian people’s confidence in Tinubu's strong leadership qualities.
The statement read in parts "with profound happiness and in solidarity with my colleague the National Youth Leader of APC Hon. Dayo Israel who doubles as Chairman, Forum of Political Parties National Youth Leaders, I wish to send my sincere congratulations to him, his party the APC and President-Elect, Alh. Bola Ahmed Tinubu."
"The success of your party's candidate at the just concluded poll is a clear indication that hard work pays."
"Now the elections are over, it is time to put all hands on deck to commence the task of building our nation with more zeal and commitment than ever before."
Comrade Wolimoh also used the medium to seek the commitment of Hon. Dayo Israel in ensuring that the interest of Nigerian youth is well protected through this dispensation of governance.
I wish the President-Elect a fruitful reign and a better Nigeria, he said.
