NANS Deputy Senate President, Elvis  Commiserates with Ondo Students on the Death of a Fresh Graduate Stabbed over N1,000 Outstanding Debt




Comrade Elvis Ekundina, the NANS National Deputy Senate President, has expressed sympathy to the students of the Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba, Akoko, Ondo State as well as the leadership of NAUS, NANS ONDO JCC and NANS ZONE D over the death of Temitayo Ayodeji, who recently graduated and was stabbed to death over a N 1,000 outstanding debt. 

Comrade Ekundina called the occurrence as regrettable, heartbreaking, and terrible in a statement released on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Gift Oba.

On Thursday, Temitayo Ayodeji, a recent Physics Electronics graduate, was stabbed with a pair of scissors. 

Temitayo Ayodeji reportedly intervened in a money payment dispute between an area brother and a third party, promising to clear the bill for the latter, according to a source from the University's Students' Union who corroborated the news of the ugly incidence.

Temitayo Ayodeji was only able to reimburse the perpetrator a sum of #3,000 out of the payable #4,000 but was unable to pay the remaining #1,000 due to an argument which led to him been stabbed.

The Deputy Senate President, while expressing sympathy to the families of the deceased, charged all security agencies to take the necessary action in bringing the offender to justice in order to serve as a warning to others who are in the like manners.

"The Leadership of NAUS, NANS ONDO JCC, NANS ZONE D, the entire students' body of the institution, and the students in Ondo State generally have my condolences and sympathy". 

"This is blatantly nasty and uncalled for. I also beg the security personnels to take immediate action to apprehend the offender and hold him accountable for his actions, which will serve as a message to everyone” he noted .
