I will not fail you", Hon. Owodunni Assures Constituents after Inauguration as Ogun Assembly Member 

The representative of Ikenne State Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Babajide, has reiterated his assurances not to fail his constituents on his campaign promises.

Hon. Owodunni made this re-assurance while addressing some constituents and party faithful immediately after yesterday's inauguration into the Ogun State House of Assembly in Abeokuta, the state capital.

He noted that with the standard he is prepared to set in the constituency, people will no longer tolerate a non-performer.

He said, "My idea of politics is not just about winning elections, but fulfilling campaign promises. I will fulfill all my campaign  promises, without leaving anyone behind.

"This is my commitment to you, the people of Ikenne State Constituency, and also to God who bears me witness today.

“My manifesto is my contract document with the people of my constituency, I should be held accountable if I fail to fulfill all that I stated in it. My major objective in the chamber is to give quality and effective representation to my constituency by attracting democracy dividends to the communities that would impact positively in the lives of the people.

“As an individual, I have invested in the lives of hundreds of people through my empowerment schemes and programs within and outside my constituency.

“But with the mandate invested in me through your votes, I would focus on developmental and people-oriented law-making, being a strong voice for our people and ensuring that our constituency is carried along on the programs and policies of the Ogun State Government,” he said.

Hon. Owodunni also promised not to be distracted by the opposition who are still leaking the wounds of thier defeat at the election. He re-stated his commitment to focus on issue-based and non-violent engagements with men and women who have enviable track records and have impacted people’s lives positively in their different fields of work.
