Ogun SWAN Media Cup: Fresh FM Stun Paramount FM To Qualify For Q/Final

Fresh FM has advanced to Ogun SWAN Media Cup Quarter-final as they defeated the 2022 edition bronze winners, Radio Nigeria/ Paramount FM 2-0 on Wednesday. 

Other Media houses qualified for the quarter-final stage included Splash FM, OGBC, Oodua FM, Wise FM all based in Abeokuta and Super FM in Ijebu-Ode as well as Eagles FM in Ijebu axis and Freelance Independent Broadcasters of Nigeria (FIBAN).

They have booked their places in the quarter-final stage slated for this Friday.

According to fixtures by the organizers for the quarter-final matches, Splash FM will take on  Oodua FM by 12pm at Funturf five -aside  pitch of the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto Abeokuta while FIBAN will clash with OGBC later by  1pm at the venue

Also Fresh FM will trade tackles with Super FM Ijebu-Ode by  2pm while the match between Wise FM and Eagles FM hold by 3pm

To reach the last eight in the competition powered by Otunba Segun Sowunmi, Eagle FM Ijebu defeated  Federated chapel side via 

 3-1 penalties shoot out after both side full regulation time ended in one-all

Debuntants, Wise FM humbled Family FM 3-1, Splash FM thrashed OGTV 4-1 while another debuntants

Oodua FM managed 2-1 win against last year's finalists Smash FM

In other round of 16 matches, 

Fresh FM defeated the 2022 edition bronze winners, Radio Nigeria/ Paramount FM 2-0 while 

Super FM Ijebu  beat State Information chapel team 2-1 via penalties, FIBAN defeated  Eagles 7 FM 2-0 while  OGBC sent  out defending champions , Consolidated Chapel side 2-1
