Bring Back Members Who Left", Penpushing Media Founder, Kayode-Adedeji Advises FIBAN caretaker committee

Founder of the Penpushing Media, Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji has advised the leadership of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria , (FIBAN) Ogun State chapter, to bring those that have left the association back into their fold.

Kayode-Adedeji made the appeal when the newly formed caretaker committee of FIBAN paid a courtesy call on him at his Corporate office located at Nigeria Union of Journalists secretariat, Oke-Ilewo Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

It would be recalled that some FIBAN members had left the association due to leadership crisis, therefore the association at a congress unanimously passed a vote of NO CONFIDENCE in Femi Omilani led administration and subsequently impeached him.

While advising the newly formed caretaker committee, Kayode-Adedeji appealed to them to address all issues lingering in the association, adding that he knew FIBAN as one united family, therefore the caretaker committees have a role to play in bringing every member together.

According to him "I know FIBAN as one united family, but it was regrettably that some people can still pulled out to form another association, notwithstanding the new leadership have a role to play in bringing everybody together under that same umbrella."

"I want you to look for a way and solution to the crisis in your association, FIBAN is an household name, so I appeal to you all to find a solution to whatever issues affecting the association."

He also revealed that "it was FIBAN that makes him enrolled to College of Broadcasting, stating that he cannot write his journalism career without mentioning FIBAN"

Kayode-Adedeji hinted that aside his online medium and online TV, he also ventured into Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), where he has able to touch lives, citing the likes of one Sarah and Abiodun Omoyayi who have benefitted graciously from his kind gestures.

On his parts, the caretaker committee secretary, Comrade Aderoju Adejare appreciated Kayode-Adedeji for his words of wisdom, explaining that FIBAN Ogun State remain intact and existing.

Comrade Adejare commended the Penpushing Media Founder for not limiting his effort on reportage but also extended it to corporate social responsibilities.

He explained the purpose of the courtesy call was the challenges and issues in the FIBAN family which had let some members to established another association, yet he said FIBAN remain intact and one in Ogun State.

His words "We felt that we can not afford to allow the struggle of then great journalists of the blessed memories, the likes of late Gbenga Adeboye and Toba Opaleye, we felt we cannot just allowed the association to just die that way, that's why elders in the association unanimously agreed that in order to continue the journey of FIBAN in Ogun and Nigeria at large, they form a caretaker committee who will be running the affairs of the association to fill up the vacuum that have been created by some members who have went to another association."

While commending Kayode-Adedeji for his leadership skills and reportage, Comrade Adejare said "We felt your impact in the society, not only in Ogun State, but in Nigeria at large particularly in your own chosen career."

"The Penpushing Media is what everyone know that the kind of news you dished out, it's usually a news that one cannot say it's full of lies and deceit.'

"I want to let you know that we are solidly behind you, we came to create more enabling environment that we can be able to support what you do, despite that there's division yet FIBAN in Ogun State still one and intact.", Comrade Adejare concluded.

Other members of the caretaker committees who was part of the visit included the Chairman, Comrade Aderoju Adejare, Secretary, Comrade Adewale Adekoya, Treasurer, Comrade Omobolanle Asakpa, and Ex-officio, Comrade Daud Alapotiowo
