VOTE SURPLUSES AND RELEVANCY: EVERY VOTE COUNTS

2023 election result can't just be wished away. The result is highlighted below :

For this topic, the two leading Presidential election results shall be considered for our analysis.

The Surplus votes computation is by getting the difference between the votes obtained in each states especially where APC won and compared with the difference nationwide.

Among the 13 states of the federation where electoral success were achieved for PBAT election is Oyo State. 

APC had a difference of 1,810,206 (that is won with) against PDP as the closet rival.

Oyo state APC at the Presidential election had 449,884 while PDP had 182,977 which gives a difference of 266,907.

Difference in Oyo divided by Nationwide difference multiply by 100%.

Considering the surplus from Oyo State, in particular, came with 14.74% in this analysis despite her being fragmented as party due to internal crisis.

 Every votes counts thus consideration should be to all states of the federation especially as the minimum of 25% votes is a constitutional requirement in two-thirds of the 36 states. Albeit, necessary and tangible amount of recognition in terms of reward system is needed for those who made the sacrifice during the 2023 election.
