Tribunal Victory: I dedicate this victory to God, You - Hon. Owodunni Tells Ikenne  State Constituents

The Ogun State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State has on Monday 25th September, 2023, unanimously upheld the victory of Hon. Babajide Owodunni as the legitimate winner of the Ogun State House of Assembly election in Suit No. EPT/OG/SHA/01/2023.

The Tribunal held that the purported withdrawal of Hon Babajide, which the Petitioners relied on, was not valid and held that the certificate of return issued to Hon Babajide was valid.

Reacting tenths victory, Hon. Owodunni said, "I come to you, the good people of Ikenne State Constituency, with the great news of my victory at the Ogun State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta today, which has just declared me as your legitimate representative at the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The court has, once again, vindicated me on this matter and also upheld the mandate you gave to me through your votes. I want to assure you all that this victory will further strengthen my resolve towards serving our great Constituency with renewed vigour.

This noble ruling has further reaffirmed the trust you invested me by electing me as your representative. I will leave no stone unturned in bringing both human and material development to our people to the best of my abilities.

I have never doubted the ability of the judiciary to do justice on the matter . My confidence in the judiciary as the last hope of the common man has always been unwavering.

I dedicate this victory to God and you, my fellow constituents, for standing by me throughout the legal tussle.
