OSPOHAS: Akinbo Seeks Alumni Cooperation

The Rector of the Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Matters, OSPOHAS, Ilese Ijebu ,Dr Akinbo Razak Yinka, has solicited for the support of the alumni association of the institution to better reposition the school and widen it's academic horizon.

He made the call while paying host to the alumni association in his office recently.

Led by its president, Comrade Olayide. Olayiwola, the association had called on the newly appointed Rector to congratulate him on the appointment and to also extend their hand of support in areas they could be of assistance in the overall interest of the school.

In his remarks, Akinbo showed appreciation to the group and sought their support. He said the role of alumni associated in the overall development of any academic institution cannot be overstressed especially in developing countries where institutions of higher learning cannot turn away help from individuals ,groups and corporate bodies.

He however assured the association that he would always seek their support in his drive to take the school to the next level especially now that it has been upgraded to a full fledged Polytechnic.

Responding, the president of the alumni association, Comrade  Olayiwola Olayide thanked the new Rector and promised  that the association would always be available for collaboration whenever called upon.

Other executives  at the meeting were,  Comrade Azeez Babatunde, the  general secretary,  Comrade Giwa Moshood, Teasurer and,  Comrade Otukoya Adedayo, Social/Welfare director,.

Others were  Comrade Lakunle Adepeju Vice president 2, Comrade, Comrade Fakuyi Temidayo, Assistant general secretary,  Comrade Mrs Adubi BoT, and Comrade Fatima Pius BoT,.
