Your victory is a call to duty, Gateway Progressive Youths tell Shoremi, New Ogun NYCN Chairman
The Gateway Progressive Youths has congratulated Akolawole Shoremi, for winning the National Youth Council of Nigeria Chairmanship election, Ogun State chapter.
In a congratulatory message signed by the director of publicly on Sunday, Olamide David, the group said Shoremi deserves every commendation, and wished that his victory will consolidate the efforts of youth groups in promoting the Youth constituency of the state.
The chairmanship election, which was conducted yesterday, and witnessed by security agencies, NYC chairmen of other states and representatives at the federal level, as well as independent observers saw Shoremi win the election having gained the trust and confidence of delegates through his worthy track records.
Reacting to the declaration of the election results, the groups coordinator, Olufemi Bashorun said that Shoremi's victory is well deserved and reflects the wishes of the people.
The congratulatory message partly reads, "The Gateway Progressive Youths is overjoyed at the news of the victory of Akolawole Shoremi as the new Chairman of NYCN, Ogun State chapter.
His victory gives testament to his popularity amongst the people, through his dedicated and committed service in the promotion of youth empowerment programs across Ogun State.
We witnessed the tremendous achievements of comrade Abduljabar Ayelaagbe-led executive, and believe that the achievements will be built upon by new executive", it reads.
