YAYON Congratulates Elerinmo As Yoruba Obas Forum National Deputy President 







The Yoruba Afenifere Youth Organization of Nigeria (YAYON) has congratulated the Elerinmo of Erinmon Ijesa, Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi as the Yoruba Obas Forum National Deputy President. 

Oba Ajayi was elected as the National Deputy President at the just concluded Annual General meeting of the Yoruba Obas Forum held in Ibadan, Oyo State. 

At the annaual general meeting, the royal father urged the federal government to expedite action on granting of financial autonomy to local governments so as to be better equipped to serve rural communities, improve development and curb rural-urban migration.

They also demanded for creation of a special intervention fund for security which, they said, should be administered by traditional rulers as a way of addressing the security challenge currently confronting the country.

The forum, which noted that most crimes were local, called for involvement of local security arrangement to nip criminality in the bud.


The Elerinmo, is a YAYON BOT Chairman who has been very supportive and contributed to the success of traditional institutions not only in his domain, but Nigeria at large. 

While congratulating the Elerinmo, the YAYON National President Comrade Oluwole Eric said " We congratulate our member of BOT Oba Elerinmo of Erinmon Ijesa, Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi as you emerged the Deputy the Yoruba Obas Forum National Deputy President. Believe that this feats will be use to expressed your sagacity being an exemplenary leader you are known for". 

"You have always been a supportive leader, so we want to admonish you to utilize your current position in rectify issue affecting Yoruba Monarchs particularly among the politicians in Southwest. Yoruba Obas are known to be unique person(s) in the society, but they are becoming play cheque recently in the Hands of politicians". 

"We also demanded for creation of a special intervention fund for security which, should be administered by traditional rulers as a way of addressing the security challenge currently confronting the country".
