HON BUKOLA OLOPADE GIFTS OGUN NUJ CHAIRMAN ANOTHER KIA RIO

Former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun state and the Chairman Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the 2024 Gateway Games, Hon Bukola Olapade has gifted the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju another brand new Kia Rio saloon car.

Hon. Olopade made the announcement at the 2023 Christmas Carol of five lessons of the council held at the Secretariat of the Union, Iwe Iroyin, Oke Ilewo Abeokuta

The car gift is coming just a few days to the 365 days in office and commissioning of projects of the Comrade Wale Olanrewaju led administration

Hon Olopade, who was the Chairman of the Carol Service, charged journalists to continue using their pen to expose and correct the ills in the society as the role of Journalists in nation building can not be over emphasized 

He also tasked journalists and the Ogun citizens to be part of the coming 2024 Sports festival, which, according to him, is going to be a world class while appreciating Gov. Abiodun for taking the bid to host 

Meanwhile, Prophet Soji Oyesanya who gave the Christmas message commended Ogun State Journalists for always been above board as they have continued to be a shining light of the profession as Abeokuta the state capital still remains the cradle of journalism 

Dr. Abimbola Babalola, the Southwest Coordinator, Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) read the first lesson, the General Manager of the Ogun State Television (OGTV), Mr Tunde Kassim who was represented by the Assistant General Manager News and Current Affairs, Biodun Alabi read the second lesson 

Gbenga Osindele, Assistant General Manager of the Ogun State broadcasting Corporation (OGBC), who represented his General Manager Toyin Sogbesan read the third lesson, while the Former chairman, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Ogun State, Dr Abayomi Olajide read the fourth lesson, just as the fifth and the last lesson was read by the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council Wale Olanrewaju 

Dignitries at the event, Senior media consultant to the ogun state governor and APC Publicity Secretary, Ambassador Tunde Oladunjoye, Permanent Secretary, Political and Administration, Kehinde Onasanya and Permanent Secretary ministry of information and Strategy Waheed Adesina 

Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Carol Service, a seasoned journalist with the Tribune Newspapers, Yinka Olukoya, commended the unity in Ogun newsmen, which has attracted so many goodies to the council
