OGUN LAWMAKER AMOSUN EMPOWERS CONSTITUENTS, RECEIVES COMMENDATIONS FROM DEP. SPEAKER, OTHERS

A lawmaker representing Ewekoro State constituency, Hon. Yusuf Amosun, today empowered over 500 people in his constituency with various vocational equipment, house hold utensils and cash support to traders.

The empowerment programme that took place at the King's Courts, Itori Township Hall, Itori in Ewekoro Local Government area of the State had various item donated to the people including 10 deep freezers, 10 units of sewing machines, 11 set of grinding machines, while over 300 other beneficiaries received cash support ranging from N10,000 to N20,000.

Hon. Amosun said that the essence of the empowerment was to give back to his constituents in line with his electoral promise, saying that the initiative was a personal commitment to enhance the means of the livelihood of his people.

He assured the people of sustained quality representation and facilitation of more people oriented projects and programmes for the benefits of his constituents.

Speaking, the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, commended the lawmaker for personally initiating the empowerment programme for the benefit of his constituents.

She enjoined the beneficiaries to make good use of the items so as to serve the purpose for which they were donated.

In their various contributions, the Chairman of the Local Government, Mr. Sikiru Adesina, the Olu of Itoriland, Oba ( Dr.) Abdul-Fatai Akorede Akamo, a former Majority Leader in the State House of Assembly, Chief Bode Adeaga and the APC party Chairman in the Local Government, Chief Ayinde Shogbanmu thanked Hon. Amosun for giving back to his constituency through the empowerment.

They described him as a good representative who always keeps to his promise; while urging the beneficiaries of the empowerment items to make good use of them, stating that those who could not benefit now would be considered in the next phase of the empowerment.
